Caregiver & Housing

Caregiver Support

Our Caregiver Support service is here for families and individuals who are doing their best but know they cannot do everything alone. Whether you are an adult child caring for an aging parent, a spouse supporting a partner with disabilities, or an elder trying to stay independent, we walk beside you so home remains a safe, realistic option.

We start with a simple conversation about daily life: What is hard? What feels risky? What would make mornings and evenings easier? From there, we design support that can include help with personal care, light household tasks, medication reminders, and safety check-ins. Our goal is to protect dignity while easing the physical and emotional load on both the client and their family.

Because we are rooted in independent living, we focus on what the person can still do, not just what they cannot. We coach around life skills - like organizing medications, using mobility aids, or planning simple meals - so that clients maintain as much control over their own routines as possible. When needed, we also coordinate with our case management team to address benefits, transportation, and housing stability.

Caregivers often feel alone and burned out. We provide education on warning signs to watch for, ways to prevent falls, and how to talk about tough topics such as driving, finances, or moving to a higher level of care. If a situation escalates into a crisis, our broader network can respond quickly with extra support, respite ideas, or connections to medical and mental health providers.
With Caregiver Support, you do not have to choose between your loved one's safety and your own health. We share the load, strengthen what is already working, and build a realistic plan so everyone involved can breathe a little easier and focus on being family - not just full-time caregivers.
